My Immortal (Hulk) Episode 5 - One Hundred Million Years Of Solitude

 In This Episode Of My Immortal (Hulk):

21 (Balph Eubank): General Fortean sits in shadow base with an enormous hulkbuster armor on. His plan is to, using dangerous science, teleport into Gamma Base and recover the dessicated corpse that used to house Rick Jones. Despite objections from his staff, he does so, takes it home, incapacitates most of Gamma Flight, and kills Burger Canada. Interspersed with this, we get various scenes of his life and how he got to this point. He touches the Abomination husk, and it wraps  itself around him and turns him into a Leto-II-God-Emperor-Of-Dune-style Abomination guy.

22 (Jean): On the Alpha Flight space station, the team grapples with the reality that Walt Langowski is dead, and has stayed dead. Fortean, after raiding the Alpha Flight Space Station, is showing signs of disintegration, things are falling out of his face, his jaws are snapping shut, and Dr. MacGowan is noticing. Joe Fixit, Jackie McGee, The Harpy, and Rick Jones are laying low in a motel, interrupted by the sudden regeneration of a glowing green Rick Jones. Rick and Gamma Flight both find themselves on the way to Groom Lake, the Nevada military base. They all collide in Shadow Base, and the Hulk starts kicking ass.

23 (Shane): Jackie McGee relates her history through the lens of her relationship with The Incredible Hulk. McGee and Rick Jones negotiate with Dr. Macgowan. The Abomination gets the upper hand using acidic bile. Gamma Flight are neutralized. The Incredible Hulk throws Fortean a curveball.

24 (Balph): We see 3 famous Marvel origins playing out one after the other in a sort of woven thread; the origin of Galactus becoming a new form of life (which I would know more about if I had read those galactus issues but I haven't but whatever), the fantastic four being inundated by cosmic rays, and The Hulk being hit by the gamma bomb. Back in the present, things are not going terribly well for Abomination, as Hulk is ripping off the acidized necrotic flesh of his face and flinging it at people and it is burning them. (Perioddd) Fortean does another acid vomit, but the Hulk ducks it, and it just completely owns and skeletonizes some shadow base soldiers, making everyone uncomfortable and giving Dr. Macgowan the push she needs to take control of Shadow Base and cause everybody to stand down. Hulk kills the hell out of Abomination, gouging his eyes out, and Fortean finds himself in Hell with the other people (The One Below All, Bruce's father, Doc Samson is there, Bruce himself is there), Bruce then snaps his neck so that he is double-dead (I don't exactly understand), Hulk himself takes control of Shadow Base, and we get the title drop, the Steel Throne. Sentence 5, but that was a fake-out, it's not the real ending; eons in the future, at the end of all things, Banner stands alone on a dusty piece of rock floating through space having killed everyone else in the universe, the cosmic force that created Galactus now comes to the Hulk in order to make him the new eater of worlds, and instead Hulk just grabs him and eats him, the end.

25 (Jean): In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only Par%l(I don't know how to pronounce % so I will be pronouncing Par-el). Par%l, one of the few living organisms, kind of looks like a squid, a sort of translucent glowing squid with one head-eye, perhaps mix a little starfish in there as well, and Par%l flies across empty space in a glowing ship looking for last bits of color. Par%l and Farys, the last 2 living things in this world as far as we know, are former lovers, and during their last conversation it is revealed that Farys has been breeding tidingflies (a passenger pigeon across the fourth dimension), and these tidingflies in particular are fucked up and described as abominations. After parting ways with Farys with hold of the tidingfly, Par%l makes hir way to the last living world, O%los, the big crystalline planet where presumably Par%l and Farys spent most of their relationship with their deceased third, D%nel, this species having a sort of triadic relationship structure. That world, as all other worlds have been, is destroyed by the Spulk-The Space Hulk, a big Bruce Banner with glowing green eyes, who gives one last message to Par%l before the departure of the tidingfly, that message being "I AM THE ONE BELOW ALL, WITH THESE HANDS I BREAK, WITH THIS MOUTH I HOWL, I DEVOUR THE SELVES THAT WERE HERE IN A TIME LONG PAST, NOW THERE IS I AND ONLY I, I AM ALL POWERFUL AND MY WEAPON IS HATE, I HAVE MADE OF THIS A THING OF HATE, A HOLLOW SHELL, A HULK, THE MYSTERY FRIGHTENS AND DISGUSTS ME, I WILL KILL IT, MAKE ALL HOLLOW AS I, DEAD AND DARK AND I, AND I WILL BE ALONE", and with that final message, as the final star is cracked in half by the Breaker of Worlds, the tidingfly is sent back in time with the news of this thing that destroys and is received by... THE LEADER.
